The motive of the CULTUREVIVE II. project is the CULTUREVIVE, a preceding common project of the three partners, thanks to which a remarkably colourful, touristically highly qualified and tradition guarding series of programs could be realized irrespective of our borders. The experiences and the professional and touristic successes made the basis for a further co-operation which was realized in a new, one-year-long project, named CULTUREVIVE II.

The goals of the new project: preservation and sustainable development of cultural traditions in the project area: in Zala, Meðimurje and Koprivnica-Kri¾evci counties; strengthening of the cultural identity, development of cultural tourism, continuation and expansion of the previously started cross-border co-operation; knowledge expansion of the crafts, customs and values included in the traditional programmes of the region.

Three interlocked tradition guarding events, and a training based on an experience exchange of the two nations’ masters will be realized by the partners. The emphasis will be put on the popularization of the common cultural heritage as well as on the exchange of tradition knowledge, which we ensure with the presence of Croatian and Hungarian handicraftsmen and folklore groups:

  • 01-05 September 2011. Renaissance Festival, Kapronca
  • 03-04 December 2011. „For that new year” Croatian Traditional Christmas Fair and International Expo, Èakovec
  • 26-27 May 2012. Experience exchange of Hungarian and Croatian handicraftsmen, Zalaegerszeg
  • 28 May 2012. Croatian Family Whitsun- Folk Tradition Guarding Festival

The project celebrates the similarities of the three partners and will develop an already existing store of knowledge, based on the previous project.
