The aim of the CultuREvive Tour project

During the previous HU-HR IPA programme, the partners implemented two cultural projects jointly, which received the names CultuREvive I and II. The successful cooperation encouraged the partners to ensure the sustainability of the gained results on a long term basis and to create an innovative tourism product based on common cultural and natural heritage, favouring the sustainable utilization of eco-resources with added value exploitation. The main purpose of the project is to establish an ecocultural craft tourism route, its branding by the name „CultuREvive Tour”, as well as the tourism utilization and promotion of the established „product”. The route connects craftsmen working in the project area who produce their products using the natural raw materials of the region, are open to learn, to develop, and to cooperate with other actors of tourism.

The objectives of the new project:

The project is based on the implementation of three main activities, which are the establishment of the tourism route; the established thematic route through knowledge transfer and dissemination, as well as the promotion of ecocultural handicraft production. After designing the project logos, we establish information points in each county, which will be developed in existing tourism or craft facilities. The main purpose of these points is the promotion of the established tourism route and other tourism attractions of the region. In addition to infopoints, we indicate the station of the thematic route with an information plate showing masters dealing with ecocultural products. A basket introducing the ecocultural handicraft products of the region is placed at the infopoint.
In order to implement the promotion of thematic route in professional circle, we organize two study tours for masters, professional partners and press staff. We consider the ecocultural handicraft knowledge transfer important, which is implemented by workshops, trainings and a thematic camp organized for masters, disadvantaged groups and youngsters. The thematic route and the handicraft production using natural raw materials can be disseminated efficiently by major events, so the partners organize 4 cultural events, where these can be presented and promoted to the general public. The natural resources, the craftsmanship, the culture are such key words that are closely related to environment protection, so we bear in mind environmental awareness during the activities of the project. By utilizing the common cultural and natural heritage as a new tourism product, the project may have an impact on the economic recovery of the region.
